Writing: ensure you have at least on of the following poems written in your notebook- limerick, cinquain, alliteration, concrete (all poems are explained under writing tab!) We will revise and edit these before they are handed in.
Math: 1. Complete attached quiz
2. Work on page 34 in Mathletics workbook
3. Complete one assigned activity on the Mathletics website
Social Studies: review answers from p. 28-31, complete postcard assignment if not done!

For Poetry this morning, we are looking at a few Acrostic poem examples and then students will be asked to write 2 acrostic poems, one of a special person in their life (ex. grandma, a friend-using their name) and one of whatever topic they choose (a sport, activity, place etc)
Each letter should have a phrase or sentence to describe the word/person.

Students should ensure they know all their lines for their skit from memory by the end of the Easter break.
For Math, students can complete some of the assigned Mathletics tasks and pages 7-9 of their Geometry workbooks.
Students will be sitting a Science test today. For those that are not here, this will be completed after the break. Students could continue to prepare for the test using the notes from the download under 'March 30th'.
During the afternoon we will be exploring Bicycle safety and students could go the the link below to learn more.

A few things to note at the end of the day.

2. For Social Studies, if you do have access to a computer you may want to make your handout for the class on your topic. Or you can make a 3-D object if you choose too. You will have Friday to complete the poster and it will be due for Tuesday.

For writing, students should have completed at least 2 page long personal narratives in their writing notebook. We also took some time to improve our lead (beginning of the story) by adding dialogue, a sound effect, an action or a flashback to hook the reader.
Christian Ethics- Students finished their proverbs verse drawing and rewrote their friend wanted ad
MV is due Thurs. Oct. 22 Proverbs 21:3
Math: students worked to complete a problem solving assignment p. 68-69 #1-6 for assessment
Also practiced multiplication facts.
